So this is my first blog post and I’m excited to see what I put on the page. LETS GO:
Video Games. What is the first thing that comes to mind? Is it a certain platform? Is it your favorite game? Could it be certain perceptions of people who spend most of their day playing? Whatever it might be, it has made an impact on how we view society as well as had some role in shaping the way you act daily. Whether you are a fan or not, we have to come to the realization that video games aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Something we can come to terms with is that through the progression of video gaming, consoles and games have been more readily available to consumers. In earlier years, it was more of a luxury to have a gaming console, and not everyone had them in town(reminds me of TELEVISION). I remember when my best friend was one of the first to have the latest game console. After school, we would rush to his house to check it out. It would be six guys stuffed in his bedroom marveling at, the now primitive, graphics and drooling at the thought. Now most all kids have some sort of gaming device; some even having more than one platform played regularly.
I think we need to start embracing video games more as a positive and not so much of a negative. These next few posts are going to give some positives and some negatives of gaming in more detail.
