People who love video games have the tendency of being called “video game nerds” and most people think video game nerds are just “couch potatoes,” or “computer geeks.” However, video games keep evolving and have changed so much since they first came out in 1958. Video games are becoming an activity that is less associated with couch potatoes. Playing games will be more natural in the future. They are starting to come out with motion-controlled games and games where your body movement controls the games.
I know for me, I started out playing the Super Nintendo. The remote to this game was somewhat simple, there weren’t many buttons to memorize, now with all of the game systems, all of the remotes are different, and you have to memorize what all of the different buttons do. A lot of people don’t understand how to work the controllers, but now with all the movement sensors instead of controllers, video games will be easier to understand for everyone.
In the near future, games will automatically recognize their regular players, and be able to customize the presentation of the game. Some games are even incorporating 3d into the games with special virtual gloves. They also have on-demand games, here won’t be a box anymore used to play games. You will be able to upgrade games on-demand so you can game 24-7.
Video games started simple, now we are here to see what the future holds in the video game world!

ReplyDeleteIf this becomes the future of gaming and they can read our minds and know what we like and how we like things to be done the world we become a much lazier place. I like the aspect of being able to pick up a controller to play video games. Yes, I do however think the Wii and its motion control is awesome however I do not think that it would be great to play games that are played by thought. That is something that I think would be crazy. I am curious to see how virtual reality will be when it becomes a mainstream effect but the reading of our minds that is something that I do not feel will be out for a long, very long time.
Have you every seen the movie GAMER? It was basically a kid having control of another human via a Video game! as far fetched as that seems, looking at the games and how they are evolving is crazy. Remember the Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) craze!?! There were people that would sweat buckets playing that game! there was also an earlier VR boxing game that counted calories burned after every match! I think VR will continue to grow and people will be off the couch and into the virtual world! BE READY!!!
