Video games have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. With the article I posted about NBA 2k11 I want to discuss basketball video games. One of the things that I always remember growing up is how Micheal Jordan would never allow video game companies to post his likelihood on any game. He was always SG #23 from North Carolina University. It was always a Jordan look-alike but never had his name. He was never in NBA Jam when their franchise was the best Basketball game at the time, and was only in games in which the title included him or his team. Those games included Michael Jordan in the Windy City, Bulls vs. Blazers, and Jordan vs. Bird. He was and will always be remembered as the greatest person to lace up the sneakers on a basketball court but did that really give him the pass to say that he did not want his presence put into any videogame. The worst thing is that after his career is over and nobody talks about MJ any more that all the talk is about Lebron and the new age of the NBA he finally allows a Video Game company to put him in a game. It adds a unique look into a video game and since I have this game I have not yet played as Jordan or played as any of the retro teams but it does enable me to do something that I wasn't able to do when I was a kid. Play as Michael Jordan in a legitimate video game. The game is something that I would recommend at least renting but if you are a die hard basketball fan then this would definitely be the basketball game you would want to buy.

I have heard a lot about this game and really want to try it! I love basketball and think it will be awesome to get to play as your favorite player! Do you get to pick who is on your team and make a team of your favorite players, or do you have to stick with the team they are actually on?
